Flesh Vessels: the body of the living is the shell of the soul
 

I am a creator of worlds with my mind. I am a traveler of limitless realms of possibility. I have used art to escape reality for as long as I can remember. The act of creating art brings me closer to my belief in divinity. It creates a spiritual connection with out limits imposed by religions.
 

My name is Timothy Poole. I am a conceptual artist, a illustrator, and a teacher. I have received a MFA in Sequential Art (frame by frame story telling, comic books) from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), a BFA from Eastern Michigan University (EMU), and AS from Monroe County Community College (MCCC). I have been traveling the world the last few years to find new inspiration to fuel my creativity. I have been to Canada, Brazil, Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore so far. I lived in Los Angeles before I started to travel. I have met so many great artists and people in my life.
 

I have plans to work in media such as clothing, skateboards, shoes, movies, video games, and fine arts. I was featured in Heavy Metal Magazine, July 2007 "Artist Studio" Pg 119-122.
 

I was given a second chance in my life after a car accident in 1988. I was 17 years old and I died. I came back from the graces of god, I was given the chance to look at life with a new perspective. I did pay a price; I am paralyzed from the waist down.
For some I suppose that would be the end; for me it was a new beginning. I have done allot with my life and I want to do so much more. I live to create, create to live, live to love, love to live, to travel, to spread happiness, knowledge, and change. Life is a gift I try to make the most of.
 

Many of people see allot of meaning and hidden emotions in my work. They see the work of a fractured mind, of a tormented soul; others see a celebration of life in juxtaposition; without life there would be no death and decay, without sorrow and pain they would be no joy and growth. I see an esthetic composition with underlying responses to life’s challenges. We are all given challenges in life. The way in which we face them defines us as individuals.  I hope you can find a connection with my work. Art is a failure if you have no reaction, If you love it, if it moves you to tears, if you hate it, if it revolts your senses, it has succeeded beyond my hopes and dreams. I am a story teller, and my story is far from over, please enjoy it with me.
